ReplyDeleteI learned a lot of firefighters volunteered to work on the four-mile canyon fire and that Ann, a firefighter, was really sad about the fire!
ReplyDeleteMy questions are, why did the fire go to Boulder and not other places too.
How did the fire get so bad and have a lot of people, like firefighters, there.

I learned that the Fourmile Fire was in Boulder, CO.
ReplyDeleteThey blamed a fireman assitent for the Fourmile Fire because he was trying to put out a fire. He used buckets of water to put it out but that didn't work, so he threw ashes into it to see if it would put it out, but then the wind blew and it caused more fire.
Firemen showed up to put it out. Right now they are blamming the assistent because they found a match, but I wonder how did they find it, since the fire destroyed all evidence.

ReplyDeleteToday I learned about the Fourmile fire. One thing is that there was a lot of confusion about how it started. One idea was that it was the ashes from a pit spread and made fire. Although I learned a lot, I still have questions. Who did it? Did anyone die?

ReplyDeleteI know how the fire started because this guy was going to put out his fire but the wind blew on it now every one is blaming it on him.But I think it is kind of the winds fault.
I learned all of the people got told to evacuate. Why do they have small cubes for houses? How many made it? I learned most houses were destroyed.

The two things I learned are that the fire is not 4miles but it said that because the fire was in four bolder county. And the people in bolder near the fire are the people that the fire man really worried about. And my questions are:How did the fire start? And how did they stop it?

1.Somthing that I learned was that part of the reason that the fire kept spreading was because when the bark beetals were eating the bark off of the trees they became very dry wich made the trees somthing that the fire would want to eat up more than it would want to eat up the alive trees.
ReplyDelete2.Another thing that I learned is that people fled from thier house only bringing the important things like thier pets and food, clothes, ect.
3.A question that I have is how are the people that fled from thier houses going to get a new house if thier first one burned down in the fire?
4.Did anyone or any animal die or get badly injured in the fire?
Two things I've learned about the Fourmile Fire is that the fire men
ReplyDeletethought a seventy-one year old fire fighter volunteer started the fire. Another thing I've learned is that the property owner is a member of the community.Investigators say and do not feel he is a danger to the public. Two questions I have about the article are the investigators think thefire started on september sixth, but shouldn't they know? The fire fighters are sort of the investigatorsand after the fire shouldn't they tell the chief if they found any evidence or not?

ReplyDeleteI've learned that a 71 year-old is suspected. I know that it was either caused by a car crashing into a propane tank or a fire pit. I still wonder how many people died. I also wonder how many houses were destroyed.

When it started?
Why it started?

My question is how exactly did the fire start? Who or what got hurt? What I learned is that more than ten homes got destroyed and the houses burned down in seconds. Over 500 firefighters tried to fight the fire. And the pine beetles caused the trees to die and burn fast.

NY
One thing I learned was how many firemen it took to put out the fire. Another thing I learned, the fire was 6,338 square acres. One queston I still have is, how did the fire really start? I wonder if a human started it? - GBS
ReplyDeleteI think that fire is really scary and sad. So far I've learned that even when a fire is over the area that it happened in is still dangerous because there still can be lit twigs under the ground. Before now, I never really thought about what it would be like to be a fire fighter, but now I realize that it's kind of like a war against fire. Fire is a really challenging thing to fight against. I think it would be really scary having a night shift. The questions I have are: Would birds be able to survive with so much smoke in the air? How many animals died in the fire? How did the Fourmile fire start?
