Are tortises and turtles different because of their diets?

Tortises and turtles are different because turtles are marine. Tortises happen to live in land habbitats, that have little to do with water. I was actually kind of right. Not really. For the most part they both consume plant stuff. The meat eaters are omnivores because they need more protein. It depends on the species.
