ReplyDeleteI think the Glen Canyon Dam shouldn't have been built because tons of historical sites were lost,the canyons were flooded,it slowed erosion,it slowed CO. River,plants and animals have gone extinct,and ruins were flooded.

Even though the lake provided electricity, irrigation water, and flood control. I think that people could live without all those things. And if they wouldn't have built it it wouldn't have slowed down the Colorado River.

No, it is not a good idea because there's more reasons to say its not a good idea. It slowed down the Colorado River. Also, the water is very cold and the animals are not used to it. The fish can't lay their eggs so they might get extinct soon.

I think that is was a good idea because it gave us electric power, irrigation water, flood control, and Lake Powell fun. But I also think it was a bad idea because there was less water downstream, slowed the Colorado River, the canyons were filled with water, a lot of historic sites were covered with water, and plants and animals have gone extinct.

I think it was a bad idea to build the Glen Canyon Dam because there is less water going downstream Arizona.The fish need warm water and rightnow they are in the cold water so they can not lay there eggs.Animals need water to drink and the water is cold so the animals can not drink it

I think no they should not leave it up. Because even though there is one more reason to leave it up but sevral animals dying because of the cold water being let in from the botom so fish cannot lay there eggs.

ReplyDeleteI think it was a bad idea to build the Glen Canyon Dam because we have better and more reasons in the no column. Even though it caused "fun", it was still a bad idea. I think this because people are not as important as animals. Some of these animals were extinct. Every reason in the yes column had to do with humans. And people back then did not even relize they where hurting nature, and they were not only hurting nature, but the flood had flooded a lot of famous monuments and they were lost. This is why buiding the Glen Canyon Dam was a bad idea.
