Welcome Third and Fourth Graders!This is the class blog for Mr. Lewis and Ms. Trumbull's classes. This blog will be a place where students can show their work in literacy, science, social studies and math. Students will be challenged to take what they learn and write about it on this blog so that their ideas can be shared with others: parents, experts, other students. After posting, students should check back on their posts to see who has commented. Comments from the "outside" give students an opportunity to continue to reflect on their work and revise their understanding of their ideas. They can truly have an online conversation about their ideas.
We have a class wiki as well. It is an informational site where you can find lots of resources for all subject areas. It also serves as a collaborative space where students can contribute their ideas to a larger question. Students worked on a collaborative reading response on the literacy page. On the math page they created VoiceThreads to narrate their thinking on math problems.
We are excited to see what this blog becomes. Check back often to see the great work from our third and fourth grade students.
