yay it's Christmas! Today I'm having a party at my house with my dad's side of the family. My mom is cooking she's making scalloped potatoes, pommegranite pork tenderloin, cherry blackberry pie, pecan pie, orange almond salad, veggies and gingerbread cookies. I put the faces on the gingerbread cookies. I decorated the table with gingerbread houses. When my family gets here we're going to eat and then play Apples To Apples. Merry Christmas! GA

A Roomful Of Dots

Us S.F and K.T did a roomful of dots. We had to figure out how many sheets of paper with 2,000 dots on it would take to fill our whole classroom, and how much it would weigh. First we did an estimate to guess how many dots would fill our classroom, and we guessed more than a billion. Then for the weight of the paper we guessed between 500,000 pounds and a million pounds. Next we had to figure out the real answer, for the dots. Next we measured the length and the with of our classroom, we came up with 10 by 9. Then we had to figure out how many reams will cover the classroom floor, we came up with 1,247.5 reams to cover the floor. Then we measured from floor to ceiling, and we got 55.5 reams. Next we multiplied 55.5 *500 cause, there are 500 sheets in one ream and we got 34,618,000. Then we multiplied it by 2,000 because they're 2,000 dots per sheet, then we got 69,236,000,000. Then we had to find the exact answer for weight. we did 4*69,236 because 1 ream = 4 pounds and we got 276,944. That how we did a roomful of dots.

The best part

I think the best part of the story ( The Name Of The Book Is Secrete) is when Cass(AKA/Cassandra) is going down a burning rope. Even through she is a survivalist in training, she was emotional and so was I. I think that was the most emotional part in the book.

The character reminds me of my self because I use to have a dog and my dog slept with me on my bed one night and the next day she was gone and she was gone for 2 and a half days but we found her under the cowch and she had BABBIE'S!!!

The book I'm reading is called Inkheart.I'm going to tell you about Capricorn's village,Capricorn is the bad guy in the story. The whole village seems to have a desserted secret,it is almost as if every thing is dead without a sound of life.The church is not a serious place.There are no pews,the altar is missing and is re placed with a big chair.In the back of the room Capricorn has built a statue of himself.There are no flowers,no laughter,and no hope. Capricorn's village is one place I would not like to visit!

How does the main charater remind you of yourself?

In Ruby Holler the main charaters, Dallas & Florida, the trouble twins remind me of when my sister, Ella, was born and brought home. I would sit on her, and I would scratch her eyes and make them bleed. Dallas & Florida were naughty in the book by breaking a giant window in the side of the barn. They thought they were being helpful but instead they got in big trouble from Tiller & Sairy, their foster parents. I think that I was naughty like Dallas & Florida when I did that. People in Camelot are dying,so Jack and Annie go save Camelot. On their way they see a red scaled dragon that is evil. Camelot is a dangerous place with a lot of castles. These castles were big they were about 900 feet tall. Camelot is not a real place it is made up by the author.

How do you think the character felt

In the book Henry and the Paper Route Henry felt anoyed when Ramona, (his friend's little sister) , did not come out of the mover's turk .He felt really mad when she took the wagon he was using to carry papers in. He said,'come back',but said 'NO!' Henry feels that way because Ramora always pesters him . Thats the way Henry felt in that event.

In the book A Series of Unfortunate Events #5 there are three kids who have almost never had a happy moments in their entire lives. Then, they met triplets who had a lot of rough times too. Right now they are living at a boarding school, and have too live in a tiny shack with tons of crabs. Also, the triplets they met had once lived in the same shack. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny [the 3 kids] feel phenomenal when they get showed around by the triplets. D.F.

My favorite part was of the story was when Jasmine jumped of the roof bravely ,and killed Reeah a giant snake with Leif's sword.Hungry rats start to eat Reeah after Barda,a old palace guard,grabs Reeah's crown,which has the opal ,the gem of happiness,which is used to free the land from the Shadow Lord a evil sorceress, because instead of holding Leif and not killing Reeah she let him go and broke most of his bone's and killed Reeah.

I'm reading a book by Frances O'roark Dowell, Shooting The Moon. I predict that Jamie is going to try to get in the army, and they're going to say that she's to young she's only twelve years old. Then she's going to fight someone, and there finally going to let her in. What the author means is your waisting your time by worrying.A example is you shouldn't worry about bombs dropping on you like Mecio, the main character does. The author is trying to teach not to worry.

Next in CRYPTID HUNTERS I predict that on their way to the Congo and Switzerland the plane will stall in the Congo,and Grace and Marty will go with wolf to try to save the cryptid Mokele Mbembe from being poached. A Mokele Mbembe is a dinosaur a little bigger than a elephant.world 2 for goness sake..I think that because the engine is junk from world war 2.The plane is a bomer from world war 2 for goness sake.

Dragon Slippers

My prediction for the book Dragon Slippers is that Creel, the main character in the story,will call for Shardis. Shardis will not come. Creel will get worried, and really think that Amaliea, the princess of Roalen, either killed Shardis or is using him for danger to the kingdom of Kings Seat and Fennil. I think this because Larkin, a girl on Amaliea's side, knows about Shardis. I also think this because Amaliea has Creel's magic slippers.That is my prediction for Dragon Slippers.

Miri, the main character, has to scare Horst, Miri`s friend`s brother away. This sounds hard but,is easy. From our time, Miri`s friend Molly, is from the past,Miri brought a c.d player and a creepy mask. Molly cut up her mother`s coat, and put it on Miri. She went in to Horst`s room, and Molly turned on Death Bag, a c.d. Horst was sweating with horror, he thought it was a dead thing. It sure did scare him away!

I'm reading Ivy+Bean by Annie Barrows. Ivy is the new girl and at first,Bean dosn't like Ivy beacause she says," she looks kind,but kind, is boring." The book I'm reading is Operation:Survival.What has happened so far in the book is,Joe and Frank get a pizza at school ,but it had a DVD player in it.It shows a kid named Zack Maiguarie who gets killed at a place for troubled teens.Frank and Joe go in as Brian Moya and Steve Neemy.My favorite part is when the boathouse is on fire with Joe in it.That was my favorite part because it was a good action part.I think Joe was scared because it said Joe was frantically digging to make a tunnel to get out.

The book I'm reading is called Zoo Break. Right now I'm at the part when Mr.Martinez's class is going on a field trip, but I think they are going to the zoo. Well before this, a pet monkey got kidnapped, but also the owner is really sad. But since usually no one would want to kidnap a monkey, so I think the kidnapper is a zookeeper. Then a dog,who is the monkey's best friend, will sniff the monkey out, and the scent of the monkey will lead the dog straight to the zoo.

Mount St. Helens

On May 18, 1980, Mount St. Helens erupted following an earthquake in the area.  I was 11 years old and I remember sitting in a diner having breakfast with my dad.   We were on some kind of a trip together.  We were reading the newspaper together and talking about the eruption and wondering if our family would feel the effects. My uncle and two aunts and many cousins lived (and still live) in Oregon near the coast on Cannon Beach.  It turns out that even though our relatives were around 150 miles away, they had a layer of ash on their cars the next day following the massive eruption.

On Fall break there was a snow storm, and me and mt brother made a igloo. We also went to my cousins first birthday party, we got to dress up since it was on Halloween. Trick-Or-Treating was fun too, I got bag and bag fulls of candy. also went sledding , and i went over this huge ramp. After that we went to go get some snow boots but they didn't have any in my size. Hi. I'm going to tell you about my fall break. When it was snowing, me and my little sister,Grace would play in the snow,and just to tell you we played for 1 hour straight! My fall break was awesome!I played in the 1 foot of snow and sledded on Friday. My portfolio product was Farm Animals, to do it you had to find out out how many animals the farmer sold.

Skip-Count Pattern

What I chose was a Skip-Count Pattern.I had to skip count by 2s,3s,4s,and 6s.I lernd how to cont by 4s and 6s.I allso lernd multapliying by 4s and 6s.Yes I like the way it is.What I did well is multaplying by 6s.I will leav it the same.

Portfolieo itme

The name of it is Baseball Salaries. What you have to do is choose how much money players get in baseball and how much you would get if you were a player. I learned about grafts. Next time I will choose the median faster, because it is harder to subtract all the numbers than to just guess the median. It was kind of hard.I had to add all the #'s together and see if I wanted the sum or the median. So it was pretty hard in the long run.
